Trek Powerfly FS 9 LT Review
"My takeaway is that this new, more capable Powerfly can make its own fun where you’d normally be hurting, and its stability on descents means you needn’t miss out on more technical downhills, either.
Its sheer thirst for mileage means it’s perfect for the adventurer who wants to run their own uplift, and if that’s your bag then I reckon there are very few tools that will do the job better..." [Read More]

BikeRumour's Long Term Review: Trek Émonda SLR 8Image Source: http://www.bikerumor.com/2016/06/01/emonda/
"When Trek first introduced the Émonda back in 2014, it was sort of a surprising addition. Seeming to compete directly with the Madone, the biggest difference was that Trek's new lightweight lacked the aerodynamic touches of its sibling. Now with the most modern iteration of the Madone, we know that Trek was already working on creating a modern superbike, but at the time it seemed like the two bikes were competing for similar buyers.
Launched with the lofty SLR 10 which at the time made claims to the lightest production bike available, the Émonda line was promising for anyone looking for a simple, light weight ride that did a lot of things well. After quite a bit of time on the bike..." [read more]

A word from one of our riders...
"So last year was my first year riding Trek bikes supplied and maintained by The Cycle Centre and I would be aboard a Slash 9.8 for Enduro and the Superfly SL for XC.
I was lucky enough to compete and represent Jersey in the island games where, along with my team mates, I was able to achieve 2 silver medals and go on to be part of the most winningest Jersey cycle team to date.
Whilst training and racing XC I was also racing the National Enduro Series for the first time in the Elite category. The Slash was a great bike for taking the harder hits and saw me well, progressing with every round throughout the series without finishing outside the top 15. I earned 12th position overall in the country in my first season.
For 2016 my sights are set more firmly in XC with qualification for the next Island Games and Commonwealth Games up for grabs. I have now made the move to a full suspension race bike in the form of the Trek top Fuel kitted out with loads of trick bits, I'll also be using a Trek Fuel EX for training and general shredding around to keep my race bike in tip top condition.
I'd like to say a massive thank you to The Cycle Centre for their ongoing support and help in keeping me racing and my bikes running faultlessly."
Pro Bike: Fabian Cancellara's Trek MadoneImage Source: http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/videos/pro-bikes/pro-bikes-fabian-cancellaras-trek-madone
Watches, cheese, chocolate and cuckoo clocks may be Switzerland’s biggest exports, but none of them have won Paris-Roubaix three times. Fabian Cancellara, affectionately known as Spartacus, is a rider who needs little introduction.
Having previously favoured the Trek Domane in all parcours, Spartacus has been riding the new Trek Madone in his final season. The new Trek Madone is one of the most sophisticated aerobikes in the peloton, with clever integrated brakes, bar and stem...
Trek Remedy 29 Carbon FramesetImage Source: http://dirtmountainbike.com/bike-reviews/trail-enduro-bikes/trek-remedy-29-carbon-frameset.html
Our "Trailbike of the Year" in 2015, the Trek Remedy 29 achieved such heights without even breaking a sweat yet does not feature as a complete bike in the UK market, even though it does in many others from New Zealand to the United States. Is this because the UK forgot to order some or that riders on this small island are too scared to make the switch to bigger, faster wheels?
Bontrager Aeolus 5 TLR Disc D3
Whether you're a fan of addendum acronyms or not, there's no denying Bontrager are one of the brands that, over the last few years, have earned the right to be considered one of the big boys in the wheel market.
Trek's sponsored pro teams have been using Bontrager wheels for a while now, with Fabian Cancellara riding to his second Paris-Roubaix title spinning a set of Bontys as far back as 2011, and the Swiss has ridden their wheels every year since including a win on these very Aeolus 5s in 2013.
Bontrager TLR Flash Charger
The Bontrager Flash Charger is a game changer. This is a portable track pump designed specifically for the mounting and inflation of tubeless tyres on a mountain bike.
Looking like a normal workshop floor pump, the Charger has an additional oversized secondary barrel that you initially charge to around 160psi in the normal manner (around forty strokes of the lever).
You then... [read more]
